The frozen pie dough I got came with 2 sheets. I used one the other day so there was another one sitting in the fridge. Since I also had some custard cream sitting in the fridge I decided to put them together for some more pear danish.
Hubby preferred pear over apple so this time apple is out of the story. But all the rest is the same. Except that I replace the almond filling with custard cream. Oh and I didn't leave them in the oven for too long to make sure they don't get over colored.
Turned out wonderful! I actually prefer custard cream in this combination cuz' the pear slices become a little less moist and the balance is just right. Maybe I should try to use canned fruits with the almond filling.
Yum! What could be a better breakfast than a danish!?
