Went to the super market and saw tuna sashimi on sale. Got a block of it for 250yen and thought maybe I could try something new.
So here it is, my very first tuna tartar!
I didn't follow this recipe completely. Rather, I just chopped it and mixed it with onion (would have been better with shallot but didn't have any), wasabi, soy sauce, salt and pepper. Lime juice to be used right before eating.
I think this whole tartar thing should be eaten with crackers rather than just like that. Well, maybe at least with salad.
