タイ料理@ホーム / Green curry and Tom Yum Kung @ home
Did I mention I took a this cooking class back in the summer?
I now have a collection of good and authentic recipes for the basic stuff and I've been itching to make some.
So the other day I made Tom Yum Kung and Green Curry at home.
Easy stuff and it taste so good.
Not like drinking sugar syrup when you eat out here in the US. They just put too much sugar in everything...
I saved up a lot of shrimp shells from before and made some shirmp broth with it. Then mixed with chicken broth to make the soup base more flavorful. Worked out perfectly!
Hubby loved the tom yum kung and he wanted more. I loved it too! Oh by the way, I asked my instructor back then whether they use tomato in their tom yum kung, he said it's not common. Probably a Vietnamese style. 夏にタイ料理を習いに行って来た以来ずっと作ってみたかった。
この前やっと家で本格的なタイ料理を食べることができて嬉しかった。
アメリカのタイ料理は甘過ぎて食べれないです。こうやって外に行かなくてもちゃんとしたものを作れると本当にいいですね。
今回はスープとグリーンカレーを作りました。
旦那はtom yum kungが大好きでまた作ってほしいと言ってました。
でもグリーンカレーの辛さはちょっといまいちなので普通だと言われちょっと残念。まぁ前からグリーンカレーがまぁまぁだったからね。
今度もっとパンチがくるカレーを作ってあげなくちゃ・・・でも、それはインドカレーになるかね?
Fruit Arrangement
There was this one time I had the opportunity to watch a person putting together a fruit platter for a party.
That person used to do that for airline catering and mainly for first class passengers.
I didn't get to see the whole thing but I did learn a bit on how to cut and present pineapple nicely. I got one the other day and tried it myself. melting chocolate cake a la mode / フォンダンショコラ
I've always wanted to bake molten (melting) chocolate cake.
But then they are so rich I keep changing my mind to other things.

Saw a recipe in a magazine and wanted to try it so bad.
Super easy stuff, but I guess it's still a little bit overcooked so the melting part is not too spectacular.
Taste wise, delicious but really rich. Perfect to be served with vanilla ice-cream just to balance out the flavor.
Hubby will be so thrilled when he sees it tonight.
ずっと焼いてみたかったです。
レシピを持っているけど味がリッチなので焼いてから食べるのもつらいかなと思って今まで遠慮してました。
今日は思い切って焼いてバニラアイスと一緒に食べました。
多少焼きすぎて溶ける部分が少なかったきがしますが、全体的には美味しかったです。
でもさすがに沢山食べることは無理です。
小さめに作ってよかった〜♪
